Top 10 products of summer 2022

Hi everyone! Happy First day of Autumn! School started about 2 months ago and my friends and I are really feeling the mid-term heat.

As some of you know this is my last year of Undergrad!

I had a very intense and busy summer. I split my time between volunteering, babysitting, and waitressing!

I have to say these 10 products really did help make life a little bit easier. I would most definitely recommend them to a friend 🙂

  1. Tula Undereye balm

I don’t know about you but my eyes are always super puffy in the morning. My facial routine goes in the following order: Face wash, eye balm, moisturizer, and lastly sunscreen. The Tula eye balm feels very fresh to the touch and gives you a nice glow before you walk out the door. I have found the eye balm to be worth it. A staple for those who wake up before the sun goes up and need to look like they slept longer than they really did!

  1. Nalgene water bottle

A trendy item around campus here in the mountains! It’s hard to advertise this item because it seems like everyone I know already has a Nalgene water bottle. They can be spotted EVERYWHERE! From the library to the gym, rocking climbing facility, and even at church! This tiny green Nalgene is a hand-me-down from my mom (I use this one the most).  My second Nalgene is from REI. They have so many fun colors and patterns to choose from that I’m sure you will not match with anyone else!

  1. Adventure Quencher Travel Tumbler ( Stanley )

Oh boy, this one is a kicker! I’m lucky to even be writing about this tumbler because they seem to always sell out so fast! I came upon this tumbler on accident at Whole Foods believe it or not. Their design is one to love. I enjoy taking this one with me when I run errands because it fits perfectly in the cupholder. It’s also very useful when I’m doing chores around my house, reading, or just relaxing. My water intake has significantly increased since purchasing this product. Straws just make everything more fun!

  1. Australian spray Sunscreen

I have always been very neutral about spray sunscreen until I came upon this particular one on amazon. Not only is this sunscreen natural, contains SPF 50, and is water resistant, but it also smells incredible! It doesn’t have the plastic scent of sunscreen but rather smells like summer. I can’t explain the science behind the smell of summer but just trust me.

5. La Rouche Posay Sunscreen

As for my face, I really like to use La Roche Posay’s Anthelios sunscreen. It leaves your face matte rather than shiny and really does the job well. It has a soft feel to it and melts right into your face. I’ve never known sunscreen like this before.

My dermatologist recommended me the brand. I find the 5 oz bottle to be the best bang for your buck. Mine lasts me months! You can find this item at your local Target or drug store.

6. Polarized Sunglasses by Reality

Now, summers in Utah are no joke! Eye protection is a must. I purchased this pair from a local boutique. Lately, I’ve been enamored with the “polarized” sunglasses look. Definitely, an old trend coming back and I can not complain. I hope these sunglasses are still popular when I’m a mom and have my own 401K account. But who am I kidding? I’m still going to wear them even if they are an outdated style by then lol!

These Reality sunglasses are bold and versatile. A classy look for any outfit.

I have linked my favorite pair for when I walk around campus!

7. Military Green Timex Watch –

Okay, out of all of the items I have listed here I believe this one takes the cake. I have never, I mean NEVER received so many compliments from a watch as this one. I adore the simplicity of the watch. It also glows in the dark when you press on the handle. The link above offers many different colors of the strap as well. If you want to match with me though, military green is the way to go!

8. Non-caffeinated pre-workout

If you’re new to the lifting community you learn quickly that you need to start taking supplements to help you become stronger.

A lot of my friends take caffeinated pre-workout and do just fine. As for me though, I opted for a natural non-caffeinated pre-workout. The reasons are that I’m really sensitive to caffeine and get jittery easily. Plus, going to the gym already gives me anxiety but alas we push through it lol! I love this non-pre workout from amazon because it tastes like lemonade and gives me a light “boost” for the gym. I’m almost out of my first sample and I will be branching out by trying a different flavor very soon.

9. Perfect Hair Day dry shampoo

A quality I look for when I purchase dry shampoo is how well it blends into my hair. Most dry shampoos leave a white powder residue, especially on mine, since I have black hair. I never thought I would find a dry shampoo that would fit my hair needs until I met this one. I discovered it while on a shopping trip with my friend Lizzie. She recommended it to me and I have been a fan ever since. It smells fresh and leaves absolutely no residue. It even gives the hair a bit of a lift if needed.

10. Hair clip

I’m so happy hair clips are making a strong comeback. They are cool, youthful, and effortless. Something about a hairdo done with a hair clip rather than a ponytail makes you seem laidback yet also powerful. The beauty behind a hair clip is you can never replicate the style even if you tried. If you want to join the fun, I would recommend getting a good-quality hair clip. The key material is acrylic. No plastic (pulls on the hair, ouch). This one I bought from urban outfitters. The link is a similar style to the one I have on.

I hope these products add value and simplicity for you as they did for me!

We will talk soon,

Rebeca Britney
